Tougaloo College graduate, Aurora Washington worked in the lab of Mississippi INBRE Research Development Award Recipient, Dr. Santanu Banerjee for two years during her time at Tougaloo College. Upon graduation, she attended Brown University for a fully funded graduate school prep program. She is scheduled to begin graduate school this year.

Aurora presented her research at the Mississippi Academy of Sciences conference in 2016.
