Neuropharmacology
The Mississippi INBRE Neuropharmacology Facility at The University of Mississippi allows investigators to use in vitro and in vivo assays to isolate and identify biologically active natural products, and to evaluate compounds through drug design. The core offers both affinity and functional assays for cannabinoid and opioid receptors, and can assess drug response in neurons and astrocytes. The facility also provides resources for drug administration in animal models, as well as analysis of behavior in response to treatment.
