Mississippi INBRE Researchers Awarded for Research Excellence at the Mississippi Entomological Association Conference

Congratulations to Dr. Shahid Karim, Surendra Sharma and Faizan Tahir for being recognized for their hard work and research at the Mississippi Entomological Association’s 65th Annual Conference.

Dr. Karim, Mississippi INBRE’s Bioinformatics Core Director, was awarded the 2018 Distinguished Service Award.

Graduate students, Surendara Sharma and Faizan Tahir were also awarded for their research in the PhD Poster Session. Surendara was received first place and Faizan received second place for their poster presentations. Both students work in the lab of Dr. Karim and Faizan is a 2015 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar.

Congratulations to all for being recognized for their hard work in biomedical research.
