This summer, Mississippi University for Women student, Mary Carr conducted research at Mississippi State University in the lab of Dr. Justin Thornton. About her summer experience, Mary said, “Before doing the MS INBRE program I was sure I wanted to be a physician but this program has made me reconsider that. Over the last two months, I have realized that research is also something that I am very passionate about. This program has helped me with my goals by opening my eyes to different possibilities in the medical field besides being a physician.”
