Alcorn State University student, Kiandria Trevillion is a recent graduate of the 2018 Mississippi INBRE Service Scholars program. She applied for the program to gain experience in public health and to get a first-hand look at the different spectrums of health care.
The Service Scholars program allowed Kiandria a glimpse at her future career goals by allowing her to work directly with the community and learning how to better serve her patients. After graduation from ASU’s nursing program, Kiandria’s goal is to become a nurse working in the emergency room.
“This internship allowed me to see health care from a different perspective. I learned to be sensitive to whatever community I may serve and how to care for patients on a person-to-person level,” said Kiandria.
Congratulations, Kiandria. We look forward to watching you achieve your goals and become and amazing nurse!
