2016 Mississippi INBRE Graduate Symposium Winner, Dr. Jennifer Price has gone on to not only graduate with her Ph.D. in Clinical Health Sciences from UMMC but now inspires students through teaching at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Dr. Price even played an integral part in encouraging 2018 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar, Cristina Craig to apply for the program.
Following receiving the award from Mississippi INBRE, Dr. Price began teaching at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She says her desire to teach started at an early age from seeing her parents who were both educators. She always has had a desire to help students and see them flourish.
Dr. Price said, “The Mississippi INBRE award meant so much to me. My manuscript was the first of many that discussed dissertation research. Since my mentors were such an integral part of my educational career, my hope is to be an influential mentor in their lives.”
