86th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences 2022

The 86th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences meeting, sponsored by Mississippi INBRE, will be held March 31st – April 1st, 2022 at the Biloxi Convention Center. Last year’s conference boasted over 200 scientific presentations in both oral and poster format. In addition, the conference hosted and additional 12 speakers. There were over 500 attendees at last year’s conference including students, faculty and staff from across Mississippi despite the Covid-19 pandemic We hope to make this year’s MAS the best yet!

The meeting will be held face to face with strict adherence to CDC safety guidelines and in an event of COVID-19 spike the meeting format will be reassessed.

Research presented at this conference is divided into 13 divisions: agriculture and plant sciences; cellular, molecular and developmental biology; chemistry and chemical engineering; ecology and evolutionary biology; geology and geography; health sciences; history and philosophy of science; marine and atmospheric sciences; mathematics, computer sciences and statistics; physics and engineering; psychology and social science; science education; and zoology and entomology.
