The 83st Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences meeting, hosted by Mississippi INBRE, was held on February 21-22, 2019 at the Thad Cochran Center on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi. This conference boasted 488 scientific presentations in both oral and poster format. There were over 800 attendees at this conference including students, faculty and staff from across Mississippi.
Research presented at this conferece is divided into 13 divisions: health sciences; cellular, molecular, and developmental biology; chemistry; chemical engineering; geology and geography; marine and atmospheric sciences; mathmatics; computer sciences and stastics; microbiology and immunology; physics and engineering; psychology; behavioral neurosciences; science education; zoology, entomology, and agriculture; and plant science.Congratulations to the Mississippi INBRE Scholars who won awards:
